Submission Guidelines

What This Covers

Moxie Ratings is not an open discussion board — there are no posts, comments, or threads on this platform. These guidelines apply only to the experience submission form found on ingredient and treatment pages. Required: a star rating, what you tried, whether it helped, whether you'd repeat or repurchase it, your email (for verification only), and a confirmation that this is your personal experience. A one-sentence description of your experience is optional. You can also choose to add further detail — cost, number of sessions, downtime, and side effects — none of which is required.

What Is Allowed

• Your own, factual, personal experience with a specific ingredient or treatment.
• A star rating that reflects that experience honestly.
• Constructive detail — what happened, over what timeframe, and how it compared to your expectations.

Optional Additional Detail

Cost, number of sessions, downtime, and side effects are all optional — leave any of them blank if you'd rather not share. If you do fill them in and your submission is approved, they display publicly alongside your star rating and experience, exactly as written.

The side effects field in particular can involve health information. Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021), health information is treated as sensitive personal data requiring your explicit, informed consent to process and publish. By filling in this field and submitting, you are giving that consent for the specific purpose of public display on this page. Only share what you're comfortable being visible to any visitor — don't include anyone else's health information, only your own.

What Is Not Allowed

• Medical claims or diagnoses — this is a platform for personal experience, not medical advice.
• Unsubstantiated outcomes (for example, guaranteeing a result that is not typical or realistic).
• Defamatory or negative statements about a specific clinic. Clinic recommendations on this platform are positive-only by design — if you had a negative clinic experience, please contact us directly instead of submitting it as a rating.
• Submissions that are not your own genuine experience.
• Spam, promotional content, or anything unrelated to the ingredient or treatment being rated.

How Submissions Are Reviewed

Every submission requires email verification before it is considered for publication. After verification, submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly on the site — this is a manual editorial step, not automatic publishing.

Submissions found to violate these guidelines will not be published, or will be removed if already live. We do not edit the content of a submission — we only decide whether to publish it as submitted.

Appeals

If your submission was not published and you believe this was a mistake, email us at themoxieedit@gmail.com with the details of what you submitted, and we will review it again.

Your Content, Your Ownership

By submitting an experience, you retain ownership of what you wrote. You grant The Moxie Edit a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform. You can request removal of your submission at any time by emailing us at the address above — under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), this is your right to erasure, and we will action it without asking why.

Before/After Photos (Not Yet Live)

The current submission form does not accept photos — only a star rating, a one-sentence written experience, and an email address. If a before/after photo submission option is added in future, it will require its own separate, explicit consent step at the point of upload (not bundled into the general checkbox below), covering:

• Confirmation that the photo is yours to share.
• A licence for The Moxie Edit to display it on the platform.
• Your right to request its removal at any time.
• Explicit acknowledgment that a skin photo is treated as sensitive health data under UAE law, requiring your specific consent beyond the general submission agreement.
